What fascinates you about your field?

Paula - The short answer would be "change". When I started out in 1996, the field of web site developer was just starting up, Flash was non-existent and everyone who surfed the 'net did so using a 14.4 dial up modem. Sites with graphics were risky - could slow the download too much, and blinking text was cutting edge.

Ann-Marie - I love the challenges of keeping up to speed with the ever evolving technology and also the exciting process of coming up with fresh design concepts.

What are some of your proudest achievements as a professional?

Paula - Helping our clients expand their business and prospects by giving them more options and possibilities than they realized. For example, we have a client who had an idea about having kids create their own custom e-books. It would foster learning. The only problem he saw was the process - kids would have to record their audio and send it in for us to process. The turn around time could kill the venture. We suggested the power of Flash Communication Server which harnesses a user's microphone and allows them to record and play back instantly. We put together a demo and tested it with some of his clients. It was a hit and is now in a phase 2 roll out and we have more plans for expansion in the coming year.

Ann-Marie - I was very excited to launch a personal project of mine FlashGoddess.com in 2002! FlashGoddess.com is a resource and community site showcasing and promoting women who work with Adobe Flash software. Profiles and spotlight interviews with talented designers, artists, coders, animators and authors are featured as well as tutorials, book reviews, a Gallery, and much more. It has since grown to become an internationally recognized, inspirational site for women in the new media field. FlashGoddess.com was HOW magazine's "Top 10" sites to see for March 2004 and a SXSW Developer's Resource Finalist in 2003.

What do you feel you bring to your clients?

Paula - All of the business, from small to large, sent to me by our clients is appreciated. Many of our clients are small business owners who are taking a financial risk on their web sites or CDs. We know this and do our utmost to give them all and even more than what they ask for.

Ann-Marie - I genuinely care about my clients' businesses and put every effort into making every one of their projects a great success. I'm passionate about my work.
